Drive components for dosing technology

Microdosing at the finest level: microdosing pumps are used in a wide variety of sectors, such as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, as well as the chemical and cosmetics industries. They dispense liquid media in minute quantities with extreme precision and the highest accuracy. Depending on the process, these microdispensers operate either volumetrically or gravimetrically. In such high-precision dosing units, micro-couplings must keep pace with these demanding requirements.

One-piece spring-bar or Beam couplings in micro format

The SlifIex GRS8-A spring-bar coupling, made from aluminium with an outer diameter of 7.9 mm, allows the shaft to be secured using threaded pins. The all-metal coupling has a nominal torque capacity of 0.1 Nm. Shafts with diameters of 2 and 3 mm can be connected using this lightweight spring-tab coupling. For dosing applications under special environmental conditions or where aggressive media are present, the Sliflex range offers corrosion-resistant compensating couplings in sizes GRS12 or GRC12 with an outer diameter of 12.7 mm, which are optionally made of stainless steel and available in set-screw or clamping hub versions. The Beamflex PSMR7 is even smaller. This aluminium micro-coupling has an outer diameter of just 6.5 mm and is suitable for shaft diameters of 1 to 2 mm.

Plug-in, modular Oldham-couplings

The micro-couplings from the Oldham range are axially plug-in. These electrically insulating couplings each consist of two aluminium hubs with set screws and a transmission disc made of acetal. Thanks to this three-part design, they allow for the flexible combination of a wide variety of bore diameters, ranging from 1 to 4 mm depending on the coupling size. The Oldham couplings are available in three sizes: ZOS6, ZOS8 and ZOS10, with outer diameters of 5.9, 7.9 and 9.9 mm respectively. Thanks to their compact design, they can also be integrated into confined installation spaces.
