The high-speed coupling Speedmax
Precision coupling with damping properties
The Speedmax is ideal for high-speed applications that require precise operation with simultaneous damping of shock or torsional vibrations. It combines a balanced ratio of damping and torsional rigidity and is designed for speeds of up to 42,000 rpm, depending on the size. The functional element of the Speedmax consists of the synthetic polymer HNBR, a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber. Inside, this encloses a ‘finger-like’ hub structure made of aluminium, which protrudes from the outer hubs into the functional area and is vulcanised into the HNBR.
Product features
- Speeds of up to 42,000 min-1
- Functional element made of high-performance HNBR with high mechanical strength
- Vibration-damping
- Backlash-free torque transmission
- Nominal torque range from 1.0 to 65 Nm
- Bores diameter from 3 to 35 mm
Material with high mechanical strength
The material of the functional element has a high mechanical strength and is also highly resistant to a wide range of media such as water, organic acids and alcohols.
Backlash-free and universal misalignment compensation
The Speedmax enables angular misalignment compensation of 1.5° and compensates for radial misalignments of up to 0.2 mm and axial misalignments of up to 0.3 mm, depending on the size. Force-locking clamping hubs ensure a backlash-free shaft connection. It is also available with split clamping hubs for radial mounting.
