Diskflex

The disc coupling Diskflex

The torsionally rigid compensating couplings with stainless steel disc packs

The multiple disc coupling Diskflex works with flat, flexible discs or with stainless steel disc packs consisting of individual discs. These are bolted alternately to the respective hub and the intermediate piece. The design of the disc is FEM-optimised and designed for high torsional rigidity and displacement capacity. Depending on the performance profile and size, the different Diskflex series have precisely matched disc packs in 4-, 6- or 8-bolt designs.

Product features

GDC/ZDC-A: The lightweight series with aluminium clamping hubs

The GDC series and the even more compact ZDC series work with discs in 4-bolt designs. Clamping hubs ensure backlash-free torque transmission even in reversing operation. Thanks to their high torsional rigidity and their lightweight design due to the production of the clamping hubs and the aluminium spacer, they are ideal for servo applications where high dynamics and precision are paramount.

GDC/ZDC-SS: Stainless steel versions for special environmental conditions

The couplings of GDC and ZDC series are also available with stainless steel hubs and spacers for corrosive environmental conditions.

GDT: Clamping hub design for frequent torque peaks

The GDT series has discs in an 8-bolt design with a focus on the highest possible torsional rigidity. The connection using conical clamping hubs is also designed for high frictional torques and therefore for applications with frequent torque peaks. To ensure a low mass moment of inertia, the hubs and spacers of the GDT are made of aluminium.

GTR: Programme with steel hubs for nominal torques of up to 65,000 Nm

The robust steel multi disc couplings in the GTR series are designed for high-torque applications such as in conveyor technology or forming technology. The torsionally rigid clutches work with disc packs consisting of several discs made of high-strength, stainless steel 1.4310 connected by steel bushes. The GTR disc couplings are available in single or double cardanic designs and operate in a nominal torque range of 60 to 65,000 Nm.
