Backlash-free servo clutches for the assembly of printed circuit boards
In machines for the production of printed circuit boards, Diskflex servo disc clutches are predestined as mechanical components in the servo drive train. The materials used, the manufacturing process and the careful assembly process ensure precision for these demanding tasks in high-speed applications. The backlash-free and torsionally rigid servo couplings compensate for universal misalignments as a double-cardanic design with two discs or disc packs made of stainless steel. The clamping hubs and spacers are made of lightweight aluminium. As a result, the torsionally rigid couplings have a low mass moment of inertia and thus support the dynamics in reversing operation and consequently the productivity requirements of the pick and place machines.
Multi-axis pick-and-place machines
Single-cardanic versions of the Diskflex and CD couplings in aluminium design offer an optimum solution for combination as an intermediate shaft coupling for precise synchronisation of multi-axis systems in assembly processes. If these systems also focus on vibration-damping properties, the drive shaft versions of the Jawflex elastomer couplings enable precise adaptation to the respective vibration-critical application thanks to transmission elements made of different Shore hardnesses. The respective intermediate shafts of the drive shaft variants are made of lightweight aluminium to support the exceptional dynamics of these multi-axis systems. Spacer shaft couplings with clamping hubs in a half-shell design are available as an option. These variants enable convenient and time-saving assembly in the precise multi-axis systems.
Precise feed to the individual assembly units
Linear axes allow components to be precisely positioned for the subsequent assembly process. In these low-backlash and dynamically running positioning units, Torqmax rigid couplings in a compact design made of lightweight aluminium ensure a precise connection of the drive unit consisting of a servo/stepper motor and ball-bearing threaded spindle.
