Oldham coupling GOC-SS

The Oldham coupling GOC-SS stainless steel

Corrosion-resistant, precise and axially pluggable

The Oldham coupling GOC-SS is ideal for precise clocked positioning tasks and for stepper motor applications under special environmental conditions. It consists of two hubs and an electrically insulating transmission disc made of an engineering plastic. Its three-part design enables convenient plug-in installation even in difficult-to-access installation conditions. The Oldham coupling's strength lies in its ability to compensate for radial misalignments with very low restoring forces. This compensation is achieved purely by displacement movements between the hubs and the transmission disc.

Product features

  • Axially pluggable
  • Compensates for high radial misalignments (up to 2.5 mm depending on size)
  • Electrically insulating
  • Outer diameter range from 20 to 32 mm
  • Nominal torque range from 0.8 to 7 Nm
  • Bore diameters from 4 to 15 mm
  • Stainless steel hubs with smooth surface (electropolishing process)
  • Cross discs optionally made of acetal, PEEK or Vespel (for high-temperature and vacuum applications)

GOC-SS-AT/GOC-SS PEK/GOC-SS VES: The version for special environmental conditions

Oldham couplings are equipped with stainless steel clamping hubs for more specialised environmental conditions. The transmission discs are available in polyacetal, PEEK or Vespel. The acetal cross discs offer the highest possible torsional rigidity and torque transmission, while the PEEK material is the solution for vacuum applications due to its minimal outgassing properties. If critical thermal conditions prevail in the application, Vespel cross discs are the ideal transmission discs. The stainless steel hubs are also subjected to an electropolishing process to reduce their surface roughness - essential in laboratory and medical technology to significantly reduce the adhesion of germs or for vacuum applications to minimise the amount of absorbates that may adhere.
