It is the specialist for ultra-precise micro and miniature applications involving the smallest shaft diameters: the Oldham ZOS-A Micro coupling. It is ideal for precise drive tasks in micro-positioning, medical and laboratory technology, or in optics and precision instrument engineering. It consists of two hubs and an electrically insulating transmission disc. Thanks to its three-part design, convenient plug-in assembly is possible even in hard-to-reach installation conditions. The strength of the backlash-free Oldham coupling lies in its ability to compensate for radial misalignment with very low restoring forces. This compensation is achieved through pure translational movements between the hubs and the transmission disc. A special MicroRounding process ensures an increased angular misalignment capacity of up to 1.5°.
