Degressive disc spring characteristic for direct, immediate response
With the Securmax Servo DSS/SG/N stainless steel, torque is transmitted via balls that are pressed into countersinks by means of a set spring force. If the set and defined torque is exceeded, these locking elements move out of their recesses against the spring force and thus ensure that the torque is interrupted. To ensure that the torque drops immediately in the event of an overload, the backlash-free overload clutches work with degressive disc springs. Re-engagement after the overload situation has been eliminated can be either through-engagement or synchronised re-engagement.
