Torqmax - a corrosion-resistant coupling

We offer rigid couplings in customised stainless steel quality for use in special environments or for increased requirements in terms of corrosion resistance in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. For ordinary, corrosive environments, the material to be used is 1.4305 steel. Manufactured in 1.4404 steel, the Torqmax coupling is available for various applications in laboratory and medical technologies or food-industry production systems which are often cleaned with chlorine-based detergents.

> Impressive quality features

The Torqmax coupling has impressive quality features. Its bores are precisely honed in a final working process. As a result, the Torqmax coupling ensures highest surface quality and standards in terms of dimensional tolerance and geometrical accuracy. The high-quality screws DIN 912, quality 12.9, are treated with a special Nypatch® process. Nypatch® is a proprietary process that involves depositing a 360 degree coating of Nylon on several threads of the socket head cap screws. This coating is designed to reduce screw vibration, which can cause the screws to loosen and torque transmission ability to diminish during the course of normal use. The Nylon also provides the necessary dissimilar material to reduce galling of the screw threads in stainless steel rigid couplings.
