Torsional stiffness bellows coupling for dynamic servo axes
Highly dynamic applications with frequent reversing and at the same time high-precision positioning are the domain of the metal Belflex bellows coupling.
A flexible stainless steel bellows ensures high torsional stiffness on one hand while optimally compensating radial, axial and angular displacements on the other.
Force-fit clamping hubs made of high-strength aluminium guarantee a backlash-free shaft connection also in the reverse mode and ensure that the Belflex moment of inertia is minimised.

Highly smooth running factors and additionally balanced clamping hubs (from GBC50) allow use in a high speed range. Thanks to its defined stainless steel length combined to the design of the clamping hubs, the Belflex has the perfect design for increasingly compact installation spaces.
If the mounting dimensions and technical data are complied with, the Belflex is fatigue endurable and maintenance free.

The Belflex Thermbago version is completely made of stainless steel and available in 4 coupling sizes. In this case, the stainless steel bellows is welded with the stainless steel hubs. This procedure ensures that the bellows is permanently connected with the hubs also in critical temperature conditions. As a result, the drive elements have no thermally sensitive connections.
